About MyBesh — Why songs hit, by people who care
MyBesh is a music reference site dedicated to helping listeners understand the songs they love. We cover lyrics, song meanings, artist histories, charts, tour dates, and music news for over 1.6 million tracks across genres, eras, and languages.
Why we exist
Most lyrics sites stop at the words. We start there. A song is a piece of writing, a piece of music, and a piece of culture all at once, and most of what makes it meaningful sits between those three. Our goal is to make that subtext readable. When you search a lyric on the Site, you find the words, and then a clear, honest analysis of what the song is doing, where it came from, and why it endures.
Our tagline is "Why Songs Hit". That's the bar we hold ourselves to on every page.
What you'll find here

How we work
Our editorial process combines human editors and AI-assisted analysis. Every published interpretation passes a grounded validation step that cross-checks claims against actual lyrics and verified biographical sources. We disclose AI assistance openly and assign a named editor to every page. For the full process, see our Methodology and Editorial Standards.
Music metadata is sourced from various music catalogues. Lyrics are sourced from the Google open community database, with attribution and a fast takedown process for any rights holder who requests removal.
Who runs the site
MyBesh is an independent project, not owned by or affiliated with any record label, publisher, streaming platform, or rights organisation. We accept advertising and affiliate revenue, and occasionally publish sponsored editorial coverage. All sponsored content is clearly labelled per FTC guidelines, and sponsorship has no influence on editorial coverage outside the specific sponsored piece.
